In the morning of May 20, Lac Hong University attended the achievement reporting ceremony Robocon 2011 at Tran Bien Temple of Literature organized by Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee. Attending the ceremony was member of the Party Central Committee,Provincial Party Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh, Vice Chairman and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and Huynh Thi Nga, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien and representatives from departments, agencies. As for Lac Hong University, there were Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Trung Phuong, Chairman of Board of Trustees Dr. Meritorious Teacher Do Huu Tai, Rector of Lac Hong Dr. Tran Hanh, representatives from school’s units and Robocon teams.
Ceremony to report achievements Robocon 2011 at Tran Bien Temple of Literature
At the ceremony, Director of the Center for International Relations, Deputy Chief of Vietnam Robocon delegation Dr. Dang Duy So reported achievements Robocon Lac Hong has gained this year. Surpassing many strong competitors from colleges and universities famous for robot invention across the country, the team LH –B7 from Lac Hong University won the championship title at Robocon Vietnam 2011, defending its title successfully for the second time. In addition, the two teams LH – CACTUS 1 and LH – CACTUS 2 won two third prizes. LH – AIO and LH – WAVE won the most excellent automatic and manual machine prizes, respectively. Lac Hong University’s team has also been honored with a prize for prospect technology at Techshow 2011 with a terrain robot controlled by voices. These are very meritorious and honorable accomplishments of Lac Hong’s students.
Leaders of Dong Nai province
After burning incense to worship ancestors, the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee has awarded certificates of merit and an award worth VND 167 mil to Lac Hong’s Robocon team. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh has praised Lac Hong University for gained achievements in Robocon 2011 and also proposed it and its robot team should prepare well for the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest in August this year.
