A delegation from Dong Nai based Lac Hong University on August 6 visited and presented gifts totaling VND 22 million to 20 AO/ dioxin victims in Cam My and Dinh Quan districts in the third quarter of this year.
The delegation included Comrade Vu Van Tuan – Deputy Secretary of Youth Union, Vice Chairman of Students’ Association and the participation of voluntary students. Also, there was the presence of Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai province’s AO/Dioxin Victims Association Bui Thi Ngoc Hanh.
On this occasion, the delegation visited and presented gifts worth a total of VND 22 million to 10 AO/ dioxin victims of the Cultural Center in Xuan Dong Commune, Cam My district and 10 others in Dinh Quan district. Each victim received VND 600 thousand and one gift worth VND 500 thousand.
This is a charity program of Lac Hong University launched from 2009 until now. Through this activity, students can understand more about the difficult circumstances of AO/ dioxin victims and also show their sharing and sympathy, which helps to educate students the national precious tradition of “remembering the source when drinking water”.
