Lac Hong University reviews 2011 summer voluntary activities
In the afternoon of August 15, a ceremony to review and report achievements of the 2011 summer voluntary campaign was held at Tran Bien Temple of Literature by the provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee. Lac Hong’s Youth Union was awarded a certificate of merit by Dong Nai provincial Youth Union for MHX collective - Quang Tri province and one for comrade Le Son Quang – Secretary of Youth Union.
Attending the ceremony was Head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Bui Ngoc Thanh, Secretary of Dong Nai Youth Union Bui Xuan Thong, Standing Committee, provincial Youth Union’s Executive Committee and nearly 300 voluntary youths of units.
Over the last one month, with theme “Voluntary youths act for social security” and the motto “Every youth, every unit has at least one voluntary activity to contribute to social security” the campaign held many meaningful activities with various contents and forms. Particularly, the volunteers presented thousands of gifts and scholarships to disadvantage children in remote areas.
At the closing ceremony, 21 collectives and 25 individuals received certificates of merit of the provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee for their outstanding achievements in the 2011 summer voluntary campaign. Among them, Lac Hong’ Youth Union received a certificate of merit of Dong Nai provincial Youth Union for MHX collective - Quang Tri province and one for comrade Le Son Quang – Secretary of Youth Union.
Earlier on August 13, at room E105 – Campus 3, the university’s Youth Union held a ceremony to review the 2011 green summer campaign. On the occasion, The Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to 12 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the campaign at three fronts: Quang Tri, Kontum and Dong Nai provinces.
