Over the past years, in addition to being a high quality training unit in the province, Dong Nai - based Lac Hong University has actively joined hands in many charity activities to help the community. Particularly, it has raised hundreds of millions of dong to help the victims of the flood, presented gifts to AO/ dioxin child victims, granted scholarships to many difficult students in the provinces of Quang Tri, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan…
As a branch of Dong Nai’s charitable organization, Lac Hong has greatly contributed to charity activities in the province. Its Trade Union as well as Youth Union – Students’ Association has regularly visited and presented gifts to orphaned and disabled children, poor families across the province. These activities have attracted the enthusiastic participation of a great number of teaching staff and students.
In the morning of October 27, Lac Hong University’s charity handed over a charity house to Mr. Nguyen Van Du residing at group 7, quarter 1, Buu Long ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. Attending the hand-over ceremony was Vice Rector, Chairman of Trade Union Diep Cam Thu, Head of Women Board, Deputy Manager of Department of Financial Affairs Ho Thi Hai Yen and representatives from units of the university.
This is the second charity house the university has raised fund to build and present to households facing housing difficulties in the locality. Speaking at the ceremony, Chairwoman of Buu Long ward’s People’s Committee Le Thi Thu Tam on behalf of the authorities sent her sincere thanks to Lac Hong University for its outstanding contributions to Buu Long ward and the province.
Also at the ceremony, collectives, individuals of the university, Dong Nai’s charity presented meaningful gifts to the family of Nguyen Van Du.
