Lac Hong University recently welcomed a delegation of the Culture, Education, Youth, Children and Infants Committee of the National Assembly of Viet Nam, led by its Vice Chairman Le Van Hoc. The delegation had a working session with Lac Hong on the implementation of the National Assembly‘s policies, law and resolutions on university education.
Accompanying with Vice Chairman Le Van Hoc was Tien Giang province’s National Assembly Delegate Tran Van Tan, Ho Chi Minh city’s National Assembly Delegate Huynh Tan Dat, Can Tho city’s National Assembly Delegate Tran Hong Tham, Dong Nai province’s Assembly DelegatesTruong Van Vo and Pham Thi Hai, Vinh Long province’s National Assembly Delegate Luu Thanh Cong, Head of Culture, Education, Youth, Children and Infants Department Tran Xuan Huu, Specialists of the Department Dang Thu Hang and Hoang Van Loi, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation and People’s Council of Dong Nai Do Thi Hai Yen, and Deputy Director of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation Luu Thi Ha.
Receiving and working with the delegation included Meritorious Teacher. Dr. Do Huu Tai – Chairman of the Trustees Board, Rector, Diep Cam Thu, M.A – Vice Rector, Chairman of the university’s Trade Union, Lam Thanh Hien, M.A – Vice Rector, Head of the Training Department, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam – Vice Rector and heads of university’s units.
At the working session with the delegation, Dr. Do Huu Tai made a report on the implementation of policies, laws on associate training programs (inside and outside the country), Resolution No. 35/2009/QH12 on financial innovation in training and education from 2009 – 2010 to 2014 – 2015 and Resolution No. 50/2010/QH12 on the university foundation, investment and quality assurance for higher education.
Also at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Information and Resources Center Huynh Cao Tuan introduced management software on the university’s website as well as services serving for students to the delegation. The delegation then visited the library and workshops of the university.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Le Van Hoc highly appreciated Lac Hong’s achievements over the past time. The delegation specially expressed its impression on the university’s investment plans for facilities, policies for the teaching staff as well as its website development.
Representing the Managing Board, Rector Do Huu Tai then promised to make further efforts to develop the university strongly and paid special attention to implementing policies, law and resolutions of the National Assembly on higher education.
