In the morning of June 7, LHU had a working session with VKCO's delegation (Vietnam National University, Hanoi - Kyoto University Collaboration Office) led by Dr. Shine Toshihiko. The delegation was welcomed by LHU's Vice Rector Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, Head of International Relations Dr. Huynh Trung Tam and Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Luong.

The working visit with LHU focused on exchanging and providing information about study abroad projects, and strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan. It also opened a new opportunity for LHU students who want to get higher education with scholarships granted by Japanese government. The program went through the two projects:
At the working session, the University leadership received good intention and precious information supplied. For Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Luong, this was a good chance to find out long-term development orientations in training work of Japanese Studies. This also offered students opportunities to take internship at Japan. Student of Engineering majors may be provided courses of Japanese, Chinese and Korean languages if they wish to gain advancement at foreign enterprises.

VKCO is also the place promoting cooperative programs in education and scientific science between Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Kyoto University in particular and others universities in Japan in general, furthering exchange programs and international cooperation between educational institutions in Vietnam and Japan government. It is also the gateway for study abroad in Japan.
In addition, the working session showed that the work to speed up international relations of the University was highly appreciated by foreign cooperative organizations in Japan, Korea, Taiwan,... Moreover, it helps students approach scholarships from foreign organizations.
