In the morning of August 22, a ceremony was held at LHU campus 3 to review the 2013 Green Summer Campaign.
The LHU's 2013 Green Summer Campaign was launched on July 15 with the place of Bau Ham 2 commune, Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province. During the campaign, volunteers participated in social welfare works including organizing summer training courses for children, upgrading rural traffic roads, dredging canals, planting trees, propagandizing traffic safety, publicizing to raise people's awareness of environmental protection, raising fund for charity houses, visiting and presenting gifts to those who deserve credit for revolution,...

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of LHU Youth Union commended 9 individuals for their outstanding achievements in 2013 Green Summer Campaign. Also, the University commended and gave bonuses to the four brave students who rescued the three girls from drowning in August 16.
The same day's afternoon, at 14:00 p.m, LHU voluntary youth members together with 800 young people of other units gathered at Dong Nai University to attend the closing ceremony of 2013 Green Summer Campaign. At the closing ceremony, Dong Nai provincial Youth Union Standing Committee presented certificates of merit to LHU collective and two individuals including team leader Huynh Thuc Hieu and deputy leader Nguyen Ca Thuan.
In addition, the Standing Committee unexpectedly commended the four students of LHU for their achievements in saving three people's lives from drowning on August 16 at Dong Nai river valley. The honorees included Lang Van Thin, Nguyen Hoang Thanh, Pham Quoc Lai and Bui Quang Vinh.
LHU students were awarded certificates of merit by the Dong Nai provincial Youth Union for their bravery.
