LHU to attend International Conference on food technology field

Recently, on behalf of Lac Hong University, Nguyen Huynh Bach Son Long, PhD - Dean of Chemical and Food Engineering Faculty participated in International Conference on "Utilization of waste/rest raw materials and by-products in the fish processing industry: Opportunities and Challenges" held on December 9th and 10th by Nha Trang University in cooperation with Iceland University.

This is a great occasion for scientists to exchange experience, research projects, research findings as well as research orientations in using raw materials and by-products in the fish processing industry.

The conference focused on discussing studies in raw materials and by-products in the fish processing industry. It also included strategies and plans in using by-products like fish's head, fish's bone, shrimp's shell,.... to produce commercial valued products such as collagen, chitin, Hydroxylapatide, fish protein,...

At the conference, representing LHU, Nguyen Huynh Bach Son Long, PhD had a working session with the Organizing Board, Nha Trang University's Management Board, Dean of Faculty of Food  Technology Vu Ngoc Boi, PhD and teaching staff. The working session focused on training programs and cooperation in the coming time. He also worked with representatives of Dalian Ocean University, Prof. Dr. Zhao Qiancheng and Head of Biotechnology branch of Ha Noi University of Science and Technology Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Ha, PhD to talk about cooperation and support plans in food engineering field.

The conference ended successfully with more promising and prospects in the future.
