In the afternoon of February 4, the team LH GOLD ENERGY was present at campus 1 of LHU to receive Rector Do Huu Tai's congratulations and directions before starting to participate in the tournament. Earlier, the team has sent its product to the required place as requested by the Organizing Board. At 08:00 P.M the same day, the team led by Dr. Nguyen Van Tan - Head of Postgraduate Education Department - Dean of International Economics Administration Faculty went to Philippine to participate in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2014 to be held at the Luneta Park in Manila from February 6 - 9. Accompanying with the delegation was instructors Le Phuong Truong, MSc and Dinh Hai Lam, MSc. and members Nguyen Cuong Phi, Tran Van An, Nguyen Chinh Nghia and Nguyen Thanh Trung.

Representative of LH GOLD ENERGY said this was the first time the team participated in such an imposing competition. All members felt excited and eager for the contest. Instructor Le Phuong Truong, MSc. said "As one of the Vietnam's representatives, we feel so proud to introduce our designed products to exchange and compete with international friends at the contest."
Eco Marathon Asia 2014 attracts more than 157 student teams coming from 16 countries in Asian and Middle East regions. Vietnam has 5 teams from technology universities in Ha Noi, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh city. In this fifth time at Manila, the number of teams has doubled compared with 2010.
For Eco Marathon Asia 2014, winners are the teams that go furthest using the least amount of fuel and their creative ideas can be applied to to use fuel effectively.
According to the organizers, the contest is not only a technical playground but also an opportunity for students to be confronted with reality and make detailed plans from preparation, design to operation. In addition, the competition helps participants to raise their awareness of using and making the best of current energy sources.
Shell Eco Marathon Asia, competition
