On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), LHU Youth Union actively participated in a lunching ceremony to set fish free at Tri An lake organized by the Propaganda and Education Commission at Dong Nai Party Committee in cooperation with the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Conservation Area. Former Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Mot and Head of the Propaganda and Education Commission at Dong Nai Party Committee Huynh Van Toi attended the event.
Representative of LHU Youth Union -Standing Vice Secretary Tran Tien attended the program and released 4,000 fish into Tri An lake. Here, the Organizing Board set 24,000 fish free. Comrade Huynh Van Toi said that this was the first year the Propaganda and Education Commission lunched this program. The aim of releasing fish was to make the lake clean and create more ecological resources and increase economic benefits for the aquiculture. In addition, the program helped to educate and raise youth's awareness of environment protection.

As the target for 2015, the Organizing Board will let out 50 thousand fish into the lake and reach 100 thousand in the following years. This is a meaningful program in order to raise people's awareness of conserving and protecting the world environment. Lac Hong University will continue to join in this program in the coming years.
It is known that each year, the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Conservation Area releases 2 million fishes by its budget and fees paid by fishers on Tri An lake. Tri An lake covers an areas of over 32 thousand hectares and belongs to the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Conservation Area. It stores water for Tri An hydroelectric power plant and provides water for irrigation works and aquatic exploitation. The lake covers 70 large and small islands beneficial for tourism exploitation.
