In the afternoon of March 6, in Manila, the Philippines, LHU students have successfully defended its championship title at Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2016 at Urban concept category with a result of 185 kilometers per liter of ethanol E100.

The Second and Third Prizes have respectively belonged to Indonesia (183 km/per liter) and Malaysia (100 km/per liter).
Thus students of LHU have become the winner of Shell Eco-marathon Asia at Urban concept category. Earlier in 2015, LH-Gold Energy team also triumphed at Urban concept category at 164.4 kilometers per liter of ethanol E100.
With this outstanding achievement, LHU students will represent Asia to take part in the finale of world competition in London in coming June.

Leader of LH-Gold Energy Le Phuong Long said his team was so happy to defend its championship title. "We will try our best to gain the highest result in the coming world contest", added Long.
The fuel-efficient vehicles making contest was born in 1985, Paris. In Asia, the competition was firstly held in 2010, Malaysia. This year's contest attracts the participation of 175 teams coming from 16 countries, competing at Urban Concept and Prototype vehicle categories.
From gained outstanding achievements at Shell Eco-marathon Asia, LHU teams have received high attention from enterprises. Especially, thanks to Quynh Loan Lubricants Co. which sponsored VND 100 million, the team LH-Gold Energy has produced fuel - efficient car and triumphed the contest. |
