Six teams from Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University have been named for the final round of 2016 National Robot Contest, which will be held in Sports Center in Ninh Binh this May.
Eight teams representing the Southern region were selected for the national final competition.
Yesterday, 19 teams from five universities and colleges competed at the Southern regional qualifying round of 2016 Robocon Vietnam - which kicked off at Rach Mieu Sports House, Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City. As a result, the Organizing Board has selected eight excellent teams for the final round of Robocon Vietnam. Of the eight teams, six come from Lac Hong University including LH - ACE; LH - F and LH - FF, LH - GE, LH - SEA and LH - BIT. The rest are from Tran Dai Nghia University.
Lac Hong University has won five consecutive champion titles at Vietnam Robocon (from 2010 - 2014) and is the winner at the 2014 ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest. The final round of 2016 National Robot Contest will be held in Ninh Binh province this May, attracting the participation of 32 teams from universities, colleges and vocational schools across the country. In addition, the winner of the Robocon 2016 will represent Vietnam to participate in the 2016 Asian-Pacific Robot Contest themed "Clean Energy Recharging the World" which will be organized in Bangkok, Thailand in August.
