Recently, Mr. Song Seok Ho - International Director of RASARA Fashion School, Korea (Vietnam – Korea Friendship Association) had a working visit with LHU. In this visit, he specially suggested cooperating with the University in fashion design field.

Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Head of International Relation Dept. Huynh Trung Tam, Vice Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty Nguyen Huu Nghi and Head of Korean Studies Branch Tran Huu Yen Loan warmly received the delegation.
Mr. Song Seok Ho directly introduced ASARA Fashion School's training programs at the working session.
At the working session with LHU, Mr. Song Seok Ho expressed his surprise before LHU's achievements in education and training after 20 years coming back Dong Nai. He earlier had deep affection with Rector Do Huu Tai and Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan. Previously, he firstly came to Dong Nai in the role of coordinating the Vietnam- Korea Cultural Cooperation Association under Dong Nai provincial Department of Education and Training. At that time, the Association provided free Korean language teaching program for provincial managers. Also, the wish to have a school training Korean language to promote economic, cultural, politic exchange activities between Vietnam - Korea and Korea - Dong Nai province was implemented by Rector Do Huu Tai. He also expressed his happiness when LHU' Korean Studies Branch is now 14 years old. And this time, his wish is to cooperate with LHU to open more new paths for students of Korean Studies.
The new direction that Mr. Song mentioned is to study and develop the associate program training students of Korean Studies major together with LHU, also strengthening fashion design field at RASARA Fashion School. This proposal aims to promote the field of garment and fashion which have been strongly developing in Korea and Vietnam, thereby welcoming the trend of recruiting human resources who are proficient in Korean language and knowledgeable of fashion design.

After working with the representative of RASARA Fashion School, Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan highly appreciated the meaning of this association. According to analysis of activities of RASARA Fashion School, it not only is a education unit but also assists students in finding jobs and setting up their own company, enabling students to create products and take management roles. This can link start-up ideas for Korean Studies students in the field of fashion. According to her, this is an interesting idea, in the future, the both units will discuss directions and appropriate training programs in detail, which promise to bring new career opportunities for Korean Studies students.
