LHU holds Job Fair 2017 for students

LHU on May 27 held a career counseling and guidance fair in 2017, attracting the attendance of more than 700 students and 20 enterprises inside and outside the country.

This year's Job Fair, enterprises needed to recruit more than 300 students. Most participating enterprises were big ones such as CP (Charoen Pokphand Group) in Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of the strongest corporations of Thailand in industrial - agricultural field and food processing. In addition, there were many big companies majored in Electronics industry, Medical tools of Japan and joint-stock commercial banks operating in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.

More than 700 senior students attended the fair to explore information on apprenticeship and employment opportunities. At the end of the event, enterprises received nearly 500 applications forms from students.

Students had more chances to be recruited at job fair held by the University.

Speaking at the Job Fair this year, Director of Enterprise Relation and Student Support Center Tran Dung said "LHU holds Job Fair yearly to help newly graduated students find suitable jobs and senior students experience interviews and select companies to take internship."

In 10 recent years, LHU has promoted training associate programs and especially organized periodical Job Fairs in order to meet businesses’ demands. The University is now cooperating with more than 790 enterprises, especially foreign companies and organizations. Job Fair is considered as an event connecting job need of students with recruitment need of enterprises. According to statistics made by the Enterprise Relation and Student Support Division, the number of enterprise partners have been increasing in three recent years (in 2014: more than 600 enterprises). The University has signed training, cooperation and technology transfer contracts with many enterprises.

Students confidently joined in interviews in English.

According to Mr. Nguyen The Anh - Alumna of 2006 Course - Manager of Human Resources Development and Training of Charoen Pokphand Foods Com., Ltd. said "Presently, there are more than LHU 200 alumni working in Bien Hoa area. In addition, some alumni are key members of the area such as: IT Director; Human Resources Director; Human Resources Development and Training Manager; Software Development Manager and Human Resources Information System Manager ...Therefore, our mission is to develop cooperative relationship between CP and the University. Also, we would like to share our experience in work and create development opportunities for generations of students. "

Another advantage of LHU students is that the University has been supported by the Japan's Government in training human resources required by Japanese enterprises in Vietnam. Therefore, students have more opportunities to choose the right jobs. As a result, the University contributes to reducing the employment burden for students.
