Lying in the series of activities to support member units in improving undergraduate educational competence, carried out by the government of USA and Arizona State University (ASU), Wolfram Research Company in cooperation with LHU recently organized a seminar "Utilizing computational thinking tools in teaching and research" for lecturers and staff. The seminar took place at the Scientific Research and Application Center - Campus 6 - LHU.
Dr. Farid Pasha introduced Mathemtica software and progresses in the future.
At the program, Dr. Farid Pasha - Research expert of Wolfram directly presented innovations and computational thinking tools, maximally supporting teaching and research.
According to Dr. Farid Pasha, "Mathematica is the most powerful computing system in the world. The first release in 1988 made a deep impression on computer users in digital technology and some other areas. It opens up a new horizon in maths and physics by using modern computer technology in maths. Before the move of 4.0 technology, this system is widely used in many fields such as communications, economics, society ... Today, Mathematica is used in more than 50 companies, making teaching plans for 15 university majors with over 50 countries in the world teaching Mathematica".
The seminar contributes to bringing a new vision in computing tools application in teaching and research of LHU.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Head of International Relations Department emphasized through that activity, LHU aimed at the quality assurance. As a result, scientific research and teaching ability improving activities of lecturers were strengthened and associated with enterprises.
