The qualifying round of the 2020 Lac Hong Robocon has been recently held on May 31 to select best teams to enter the final.

The qualifying round attracted the participation of more than 70 students of six teams. After thrilling matches, the four best teams were selected for the final, namely LH-KDA; LH-AC; LH-FLASH and LH-YB. The final qualifier saw the fiery fight of the two strongest teams - LH-FLASH and LH-KDA. As a result, LH - FLASH excellently won the first place in the qualifier.

The best two teams will also compete for the championship title at the 2020 Lac Hong Robot Contest on June 18.

Despite being a university level contest, the organizers also encouraged teams by big prizes. Beside cash prize, all members were rewarded with a 2-day-1-night trip in Phan Thiet.
The ABU Robocon 2020 will be held in Suva, Fiji with the theme "Robo Rugby 7s", inspired by rugby. This is the national sport of Fiji, has been on the islands of the Pacific region since the 1880s and changed the islanders' lives ever since. "Robo Rugby 7s" is to play rugby 7’s game using two robots and five obstacles as five defending players.
