In 2019, two Bachelor programs of LHU - Information Engineering Technology and Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology were qualified for the AUN – QA. In the 2019-2020 academic year, the University continued to promote its strategic plans on quality assurance activity by implementing its self-assessment in accordance with ABET (the American-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) for the two above training programs.

In March, 2020 the ABET evaluation team from Arizona State University, BUILD- IT Project visited and worked with LHU for two days to prepare for the official evaluation in 2022. Experts of ABET focused on reviewing program quality of Information Engineering Technology (under the Faculty of Information Engineering Technology) and Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology (under the Faculty of Electromechanic - Electronics). Since then, the BUILD- IT Project, Arizona State University has organized three online working sessions to continue to instruct and give LHU suggestions for the two programs according to ABET standards.

Online meetings with ABET experts due to the Covid-19 pandemic
The University will send ABET experts a preliminary assessment of two above-mentioned training programs at the end of 2021. LHU is expected to complete its official evaluation according to the ABET standards for these two programs in 2022.
