Automov wins Second prize at the 4th national startup festival for students

Automov - wheelchair support equipment project carried out by a group of students from Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics, LHU won Second prize at the 4th national startup festival for students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), which took place on March 26 and 27 at the University of Transport Technology in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.

The competition "the 4th Students with startup ideas" was launched by the MoET in July, 2021. Accordingly, the contest aimed at students studying at universities, academies, junior colleges, intermediate schools, junior and high schools across the country.

The goal of the competition is to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. The organizers received a total of more than 400 entries from students and junior and senior high school pupils. 50 projects of students and 20 projects of pupils were selected for the final round.

At the closing awards ceremony, the organizers awarded two First, four Second, six Third and eight Consolation prizes to 20 excellent projects developed by students and pupils. The project of Automov of LHU students were awarded Second prize worth VND 40 million at the ceremony.

Reportedly, on behalf of the MoET's leaders, Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh wished participating businesses and investment funds would continue to care and support students and pupils to continue to nurture their dreams of startup. From there, start-up businesses can be soon established, contributing to the successful implementation of the social development plan for the period 2021-2025.
