On June 25, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University of HCM City in cooperation with the Chinese Consulate General in HCM City solemnly organized the final round of the 21st "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for students of universities and colleges in Southern provinces and cities.
Participating in this year’s competition were 28 contestants from 12 universities in southern Vietnam including University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM; HCM City University of Education; LHU; Van Hien University; Thu Dau Mot University; Nguyen Tat Thanh University; HUTECH; Van Lang University; HUFLIT; Hong Bang International University; HCM City Open University and HCM City University of Economics and Finance.
Particiapating in the 21st "Chinese Bridge" contest, LHU had two contestants namely Huynh Huy Hoai from class 19DT111 and Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh from class 19DT113.

At the competition, the contestants took turns to participate in three main parts to assess their Chinese language abilities (express, listen - speak - read - write Chinese Language), knowledge about China, Chinese cultural skills (music, dance, choreography, variety, musical instruments, calligraphy, painting, paper cutting, martial arts, etc.) and general knowledge related to Chinese language and culture.
After the three rounds, Huynh Huy Hoai took Third place and Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh won the Consolation prize at the competition.

The "Chinese Bridge" contest is an interesting and useful academic playground for Chinese language learners of universities and colleges in Southern Vietnam to exchange knowledge, experience and connect with friends to better understand Chinese language and culture. It is also considered as a bridge to strengthen the friendship between the people of China and Vietnam.
