400 blood units collected at the 50th blood donation program

LHU's Youth Union - Student Association on March 13, 2024 in collaboration with Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association and Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Center in HCM City successfully organized the 50th blood donation program. The program also received the companionship and sponsor from C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company. 

This blood donation program is also part of a series of activities to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2024), marking the 93 years of glorious history of Vietnamese youth and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

With the theme "A drop of blood to give, a life to stay”, the annual blood donation program is a meaningful occasion for officials, staff members and students of LHU to show their good deeds for the community, contributing to providing blood sources to save people's lives.

At the program, blood donors must follow steps such as registration, health check, rapid blood tests, blood donation, taking rest and receiving certificates. Earlier at the 49th blood donation program, 300 units of blood were collected and provided to hospitals. 

During the day, more than 400 volunteers actively participated in the program. As a result, 400 units of blood were donated at the event.

LHU will continue to maintain this noble deed, contributing to saving the unfortunate lives, at the same time spreading the humanitarian values of blood donation to the community.
