MoU signed between LHU and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy

On March 27, 2024, on the occasion of its working visit, LHU signed a MoU with Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HPMU), making an important event, opening a new era for cooperation between the two sides.

The ceremony was attended by, on LHU's side, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Dr. Le Phuong Truong - Head of Office of Educational Testing and Q.A. For HPMU’s side, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Khue - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khai - Rector - Director of Hai Phong Medical University Hospital; along with members of the Board of Rectors and representatives of functional units.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khai - Rector - Director of Hai Phong Medical University Hospital highly appreciated the cooperation between the two sides; acknowledged LHU's companionship and support; and hoped that the cooperative relationship between the two universities will be increasingly promoted and strengthened, especially in research and training activities to realize both sides' development goals.

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement signing ceremony, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector of LHU presided a training workshop to introduce tools and methods to measure and evaluate expected learning outcomes; and applications of AI in teaching and learning. In addition to teaching activities, the University pays due heed to scientific research, consultation, high-quality technology applications and transfer in the field of educational management and administration. He also emphasized both sides will act decisively, responsibly and effectively, aiming for long-term and sustainable strategic cooperation so that they can maximize their potential and strengths to improve the quality of human resources, especially in Medicine and Pharmacy.

Following the signed MoU, the two sides will cooperate to implement the following contents:

1. Cooperate in developing undergraduate and postgraduate training programs; jointly teaching collaborative programs; recognizing credits and mutually exchanging students and trainees in the healthcare industry;

2. Organize training workshops to improve expertise and promote faculty exchange;

3. Carry out joint research projects; joint domestic and international research projects; joint national and international scientific conferences and seminars in related fields;

4. Cooperate in facilities to serve teaching and scientific research;

5. Support, advise and transfer to HPMU software for building and managing data systems; designing, measuring, and evaluating expected learning outcomes to serve quality assurance and accreditation of training programs as well as training facilities;

6. Exchange data in Q.A activities to compare quality indicators between the two sides to develop solutions to improve the quality of training, scientific research and community service. Both parties are committed to confidential data and proper uses.

At the end of the ceremony, the sides exchanged views on goals, directions and discussed potential for cooperation and development based on their strengths, at the same time expressing belief in sustainable development in the future.
