In the morning of October 9^th, 2010, in room E 402, Faculty of Foreign Languages Lac Hong University held a workshop on exchange of experience improving the quality of scientific research for its teachers and students.

 

    Attending the workshop were Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Hong, PhD – Dean of English Department, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Huong – Vice Dean, Dr. Nguyen Van Tan - Head of the Department of Scientific Research- Postgraduate - Quality Inspection together with teachers of Foreign Languages, students doing research projects and those who are interested in this field.

 

    After Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Huong’s speech opening the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Van Tan presented the development of scientific research at Lac Hong University, its importance to the improvement of students’ learning quality.  In addition, he discussed the data processing method in research with students and wished the Faculty of Foreign Languages many projects with high quality in the scientific research activity this year.

 

    Then Assoc. Prof.Tran Thi Hong, PhD presented some key issues related to research paper writing, research orientation and gave responses to students’ questions in carrying research.

 

    Many students say that with four month apprenticeship period, they often "lose contact" with the Faculty or meet some difficulties in exchange of questions in the research process. It can be said that holding workshops like this is a practical and timely activity, closely following students in the research process to help them have proper orientations. This form needs to be expanded to all Departments in order that the scientific research activity of Lac Hong University get more and more developing.
