Robocon contest 2012 launched in Lac Hong University

In 2005, Lac Hong University was seen as a new face in Robocon Vietnam movement though it did not yet gain any special achievement at that time. However, drawing experience from previous contests, Lac Hong University gradually promoted its Robocon movement, developing strategies to upgrade its robots. As a result, it has won a lot of achievements in Robocon contests. Particularly, Lac Hong University won championship titles for two successive times at Robocon Vietnam in 2010 and in 2011. It also won second prize at at ABU Robocon 2010 in Egypt and won bronze at Robocon 2011 in Thailand and other prizes. To continue its itinerary on the way to win Robocon contests, Lac Hong University held a ceremony on September 27 to launch Robocon contest 2012. Leaders, heads of departments, faculty members and a lot of students attended the ceremony.

 
After MA Nguyen Ba Thuan reported achievements Robocon Lac Hong from 2005 until now to encourage students, MA Lam Thanh Hien opened the launching ceremony of Robocon contest 2012.The achievements that teams of Robocon Lac Hong have gained in Robocon contests are great driving forces to promote robot lovers to continue their efforts to defend the championship title successfully at Robocon Vietnam and win first prize at ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Tran Hanh – Rector of Lac Hong University made careful recommendations and gave useful advice to his students. He stressed the need to enhance of students’ intelligence and solidarity and importance of searching and inventing robots in human shape, contributing to development of health care,  production and life.
 
Also at the ceremony, the Steering Committee of Robocon this year provided its students with information about the theme and rules of the Robocon contest 2012 and responded to students’ questions about the above issue.
