A ceremony was held on December 15 at Dong Nai provincial Event and Convention Center to summarize 5 years of the campaign “Dong Nai Youth learn and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” and to commend 2nd excellent youth, 2011. Lac Hong University attended the event with its collectives (including Faculty of Administration and International Business and Faculty of Auditing and Accounting) and individuals (including Deputy Secretary, Vice Chairman of school Students’ Association Vu Van Tuan, Deputy Secretary, Chairwoman of Students’ Association of Faculty of Biological and Environmental Engineering To Thi Lan Phuong and Deputy Secretary of Faculty of Administration and International Business’ Youth Union Doan Viet Anh) commended and awarded certificates of merit.
The event saw the attendance of Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong, Vice Chairwomen of the provincial People’s Council Huynh Thi Nga, Head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Bui Ngoc Thanh, Secretary of Dong Nai Youth Union Bui Xuan Thong and representatives from leaders of departments and agencies in the province.
At the closing ceremony, certificates of merit were given to 38 collectives and 36 individuals to recognize their excellent achievements and outstanding contribution to the Dong Nai provincial Youth Union and youth movements in 2011.
After 5 years of the campaign “Dong Nai Youth learn and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings”, Dong Nai youth in general and Lac Hong’s youth in particular have more grasped Ho Chi Minh’s ideas and his exemplary morality. Specifically, in addition to scientific works and academic clubs, Lac Hong’s youth have actively taken part in a range of social activities and charity programs such as voluntary campaigns, blood donation, environment protection and so on.
The same day, the delegation of Lac Hong University and the province visited and presented gifts to veterans of provincial War Veterans’ Association and children of the Centre for Handicapped Children in Dong Nai and burnt incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.
