A solemn ceremony was held on May 24 at Tran Bien Temple of Literature in Dong Nai province to honor Lac Hong University for its achievement at the Robocon Vietnam 2012 held at the Military Zone 7 Sports House, Ho Chi Minh City on May 13. Present at the event were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri, representatives from departments, agencies, and a great number of Lac Hong’s teachers, students and Robocon teams.
The final competition this year attracted 32 teams from universities, colleges and technical schools nationwide. After minutes of competition, LH - Cactus 2 team of Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University overwhelmed the other teams with its scores and took the champion title. The team also will represent Vietnam in the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2012 to be held in Hong Kong, China this August. Lac Hong University’s teams also won the second prize at Robocon Techshow for their product and got extra prizes including third prize, best automatic robot, and awards for the most innovative technology and idea among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri Tri praised the achievements of Lac Hong University in the national robocon contest. On behalf of Dong Nai’s leadership and people, he acknowledged outstanding contributions made by Lac Hong University to the development of education.
Also at the honoring ceremony, members of Lac Hong University team each received certificates of merit and rewards from the Provincial People’s Committee.
