A cooking contest with the theme “Coming in the kitchen with Lac Hong teachers” was held on the occasion of 103rd anniversary of the International Women’s Day and to mark the Youth month 26 March. The contest was organized by Lac Hong University’s Trade Union in cooperation with Chapters.
Attending and encouraging the contest were faculty members, staff and men of Lac Hong University. As usual, the Board of Jury included Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Anh – Member of Dong Nai Former Teachers’ Association, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Hong – Teacher of Luong The Vinh high school and Ms. Ho Thi Hai Yen – Lac Hong University’s Head of Women Board.
The contest this year attracted 19 teams from 20 Trade Union Groups of the university. Speaking at the contest, Ms. Yen – on behalf of the Jury shared the meaning of the contest that “This is not only an occasion for men of Lac Hong to show their ingenuity in the culinary field. It also a good chance for them to share cooking experiences with women. Besides, the contest is a playground to tight the strength of Lac Hong collective”.
After more than 2 hours of competition, 19 teams completed their examinations. After marking finished dishes, the Jury selected 6 among 19 teams advancing to the presenting part of the contest. In this round, teams presented their dishes’ concepts as well as the cuisines.
After minutes of working hard, the Jury has chosen the best cooks. The 1st place belonged to the Information and Resources Center; the 2nd place by the Faculty of Chemical and Food Engineering, the 3rd place by the Faculty of Auditing and Accounting. The three Consolation prizes belonged to the Faculty of Business Administration and Foreign Trade, the Department of Student Affairs and the Department of Examination and Quality Assurance.
