To close the series of activities marking "The Youth Month" and celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2013), English Language Faculty's Youth Union held the 2nd English Eloquence Contest with the aim of improving students' presentation skills. This is also an annual academic playground in order to offer students opportunities to show their dynamism, creation and confidence in English environment.
The 2nd English Eloquence Contest entitled "The role of women in today's society" attracted the great participation of a large number of students at all levels. As a result, 12 excellent contestants were selected for the final round to be held at 13:30 p.m on April 18, 2013 at Room B 203, campus 1.
"The differences between men and women in leadership role" was selected for the main topic of the final round of the contest which was attended by representatives from other faculties, staff of English Language and the great support of more than 200 students.
The contest took place ardently with interesting presentations by 12 contestants. As a result, Pham Thi My Tien (class 09AV111) won the 2nd English Eloquence Contest. The second place belonged to Nguyen Ngoc Tu (class 09AV111). Pham Thi Thu Thao won the 3rd prize. Doan Minh Truong and Luong Ngoc Hoa won Consolation prizes.
