A ceremony on the theme “National Week on Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation 2013” was launched in Dong Nai - based Vinh Cuu district on April 27 by the Dong Nai Youth Union in collaboration with the Centre for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation (under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development). The event attracted the participation of many students and youth members.
The theme "National Week on Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene 2013" was held with an aim to raise the awareness and behaviour of youths; and to mobilize all educational managers, teachers and students to participate in building, preserving and using effectively clean water source and protecting the environment.
Responding enthusiastically, more than 100 youth members of LHU have signed up for this campaign. At the event, the participants were propagated knowledge and meaning of the important role of the environment and clean water to human life. The event provided students with a chance to raise their awareness of their actions and learn how to protect the environment to make Dong Nai a greener, cleaner and more beautiful city.
After the launching ceremony, youth members joined hands to remove grass, collect garbage at some areas and clear some rural roads.
