In the morning of September 12, on behalf of the LHU Management Board, Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice rector, Dr. Huynh Trung Tam - Head of International Relations, Dr. Nguyen Van Tan - Dean of Faculty of Business Administration and International Economics, Pharmacist Tran Tan Le - Vice Dean of Pharmacy Faculty, Nguyen Huu Nghi, M.A- Vice Dean of Oriental Studies and Tran Huu Yen Loan, M.A - Head of Department of Korean Studies had a working session with Mr. Lee Young Chang - Head of Dongguk University's International Relation.
Dongguk University established in 1906 is one the three oldest universities in Korean. Lee Young Chang's working visit this time was to expand the cooperation relation in training and to exchange human resources with Lac Hong University. Earlier, Mr. Lee said he has learnt about some equivalent majors of the two universities. This is an open gate for LHU's students of Business Administration, IT, Languages, Pharmacy and Electrical Machinery Manufacture (Faculty of Medical Technique - making medical equipment). Currently, Dongguk University attracts a great number of international students of Business Administration, Tourism, Languages, especially post education program.
Also at the working session with Dongguk University, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan said "The University will open doctoral training program in the future". Although it is a younger university, it focuses the development of training quality. 95 - 96 % students get jobs after their graduation. This cooperative relation offers the University opportunities to learn experience and develop its quality of training".
According to statistics from Oriental Studies, from 2004 up to now, the University and its students have brought many opportunities from this cooperation tie with Korea. Korean Consul General has built Korean Studies Center with the capital of USD $ 40 million. In 2006 - 2007, the University had 10 students attending master program in Korea. In 2009, Seoul Women's University offered two master scholarships to lecturers and two for short-term internship to students of Korean Studies Department. From 2010 to present, the faculty has sent nearly 20 students to attend short-term classes at Seoul Women's University. In June, 2013, Mr. Kim Kwang Kyun - Chairman of Global Hope Association in Vietnam and Seongnam province handed over VND 200 million to the University's Oriental Studies in order to expand the Korean Resources room located in LHU.
