The fourth Japan - Vietnam Haiku contest was held by Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City in association with Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh city University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Ho Chi Minh city Union of Friendship Organizations.
Surpassing 750 candidates with 1,873 Vietnamese poems and 204 Japanese ones, the contestant Hoang Thi Lang - a junior of Japanese Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies - Lac Hong University has excellently taken Second place and honored to deliver a speech at the awarding ceremony held on December 7 at Tuoi Tre newspaper office.
At the ceremony, Tuoi Tre's editor in chief Pham Duc Hai spoke highly of the success of the contest, especially its effect in assisting contestants to understand more about Japan’s culture. This is a great honor to LHU, especially Japanese Studies major - Faculty of Oriental Studies.
