In the morning of May 17 a solemn ceremony was held by LHU's Youth Union to mark the 124th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. The special event was also a good chance for teachers and students to express their gratitude and pride of great services of President Ho Chi Minh to Vietnam nation.
Art performance welcomed the ceremony
The ceremony was attended by University Secretary of Party Committee Nguyen Trung Phuong; Chairman of Trustees Board, Rector People’s Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai; Vice Rectors Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan and Dr. Nguyen Van Nam; You Union Secretary Le Son Quang; Party members, representatives of all departments and units; representatives of Dong Nai Newspaper, Dong Nai Television and more than 400 Youth Union members and students at all levels.
At the ceremony, participants enjoyed arts items performed by excellent teams of the contest "Propagandizing revolutionary songs 2014" themed "Offering Uncle Ho singing" held from May 12 to 15, 2014.
Also at the event, University Secretary of Party Committee Nguyen Trung Phuong made a touched speech to mark the beloved President’s birth anniversary. He offered meaningful advice to all Youth Union members and students as well. In addition, the University Youth Union has launched a program to raise money to contribute to protecting the country's sea and island.
On the occasion, the University Youth Union has summarized and awarded prizes to winners of the contest "Writing diaries to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example 2013 - 2014". The contest received the great interest and participation of youth union members, students, Party candidates, youth union officials at all levels. As a result of the contest, first prize was awarded to comrade Vuong Le Quyen from chapter 10TC118. Second prize belonged to comrade Huynh Thuc Hieu - Staff of Youth Union - Student Association Office. The Organizing Board was also awarded third prizes and consolation prizes to other contestants.
Best contestants of the contest were awarded certificates of merit at the event.
Uncle Ho’s birthday, ceremony
