The 36th English Speaking Club Meeting
For a long time, the English Speaking Club of the General English Department has become an interesting and useful playground for English lovers at Lac Hong University. Joining the club, students have chance to expose to an academic environment not only exciting, entertaining and relaxing but also physical and educational.
The 36th weekly meeting of the club held at room E104, Campus 3, Lac Hong University on Saturday October 4th witnessed a big turnout of students coming from various departments. Engagements in games and activities in the club such as Describing and Drawing Game, Music Game, Partners-seeking Warmth-up brought participants laughter, relaxation and, more important, opportunities to practice their English speaking skill as well as communication and teamwork skills. Reading and Discussing Section, an essential part in every English Speaking Club meeting of the General English Department, has greatly contributed to students’ confidence - building so that they can naturally and confidently express their ideas in front of public. In this 36th meeting, club members discussed the familiar but not boring topic – FAMILY – through cooperative guidance of teachers from the General English Department– the organizers of the club. So many times, the guiders themselves were surprised and inspired by creative and unique ideas shared by club participants.
Ended by the Music Section with a very well-known musical piece of Michael Bubblé – Home – the meeting has once again taken the topic Family into consideration. Simple yet emotional melody of the song brought the meeting to an end at 10:20 a.m. in a touching atmosphere.
