It’s coming towards the end of October and it’s time for one of the most-expected events of the year_ HALLOWEEN. It was the jubilant atmosphere of the coming Halloween that inspired the host teachers in selecting “Halloween” as the topic of the English Speaking Club meeting which took place at room E104, Campus 3, Lac Hong University on Saturday October 25th. The club meeting attracted a great turnout of students coming from various departments. They eagerly engaged in the warm-up team game named “Halloween Word Search”. This game was meant to equip them with common expressions used in Halloween and help them build the team spirit.
Reading and Discussing activity provided attendees with the useful knowledge of Halloween, which is considered integral to the English learners. This was a good chance for them to enrich their culture understanding about a popular festival originating from an English-speaking country and to confidently share their opinions on Halloween-related questions.
After discussion and sharing moment, they enjoyed the exciting game “Apple Eating” and creatively designed Halloween masks in “Mask Designing” game.
The thrilling scenes and melody of the song “Is it scary” performed by Michael Jackson brought the club meeting to an end in Halloween atmosphere at 10.45.
