21 LHU students accepted for paid internship program in Japan

"If you work in Japan, this will be a wonderful opportunity for you to experience and learn from the Japanese. The University has put its trust in the bridging companies such as KOWA and Kyoda, hoping that the company can support and help you achieve your dreams" is the message sent by Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector of LHU when attending a ceremony to hand over internship papers and visas for students to join the paid internship program in Japan.

To create opportunities for students to learn and experience foreign languages ​​and cultures, LHU has cooperated with Japanese partners to organize a trainee program for students of Japanese Studies and jobs for engineers right after their graduation in Japan. According to statistics from the University International Relations Department, in the past three years, the University has sent 32 students to participate in affiliate programs in Japan with very positive feedback.

In early July, LHU had launched internship programs in Japan under the cooperation program with the Association for the Support of Practitioners in Japan, Kowa Company and Kyoda Company. This is a paid internship program by experiencing actual work of students of universities with good Japanese ability. This training lasts from 4,5 months to 12 months depending on the internship needs of students and companies. Specifically, on November 9, the University handed over internship papers and visas for 21 students to participate in internship program at 5-star hotel and famous resorts in Japan.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Taniguchi Masayuki - Manager of Foreign Human Resources Development at KOWA Company - Head of the Tokyo Branch said "The cooperation with the University aims to recruit students with aspirations and wills as well as their willing to learn, with a foundation of thinking and knowledge to Japan, to accumulate experience and working skills as well as Japanese language, prepared in early 2018. Through this cooperation, KOWA Company hopes to provide students with additional learning, cultural exchange and career opportunities at internship unit and Japanese enterprises invested in Vietnam. Thanks to that, we can strengthen cooperation relation between KOWA and the University."

The ceremony was also a chance to help the University confirm its training capacity before the trust of parents and community

Reportedly, the basic salary of trainees when working in Japan is from VND 20 million to 25 million per month (after deducting taxes, insurance, living expenses ...)

According to the Department of Overseas Labor (the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social affairs) before booming development of non-smoke industry, Japan has relatively high demand for human resources in this sector. Today, international integration is a growing trend in all areas of society, including in higher education. According to the survey, the internship program in Japan was evaluated by students as an opportunity to help them learn and experience in Japan as well as to improve their Japanese language skills, accumulate knowledge and additional income. This time, LHU students have many opportunities to practice in many famous places in Japan. The University will actively work with partners to expand and implement many internship programs abroad in the future.
