A delegation from Guilin University of Technology (GUT) led by Mr. Xie JiGuang - Director of International Education Institute on November 14 had a visit and working session with LHU to discuss the cooperation on student and lecturer exchange programs, especially international camp experience.

Receiving the delegation were Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Manager of International Relations Department Nguyen Thanh Lam, Vice Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies Nguyen Huu Nghi and Head of Chinese Studies Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh. Earlier in 2010, LHU and GUT signed and implemented the MoU. Then both sides had some information exchanging activities. This time working aimed to promote the role of partners in the training activity.

The working session took place in two hours and focused on many meaningful activities to be implemented in the future. Specifically, Coordinating to send students of Chinese Studies to GUT to participate in short-term summer camps, Coordinating to send final year students to GUT to take part in internship program, and Exchanging lecturers and students of the two universities to strengthen their foreign language skills and training methods. The two sides are expected to co-host the first summer camp in 2019. This is the premise for the next cooperation projects of the two sides.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Xie JiGuang said that he greatly admired LHU robot making activities and through many times working with Ms. Oanh, GUT believed in the University training capacity and desired to extend cooperative exchange activities with LHU.
When cooperative agreements are implemented, it promises to bring exciting learning and experience opportunities for generations of students, especially those who pursue the dream of discovering mysterious China.
