Recently, representing LHU, DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Permanent Vice Rector, Dr. Daniel Carroll - Principal Advisor and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Manager of International Relations Department had a 7-dayworking trip at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK, Finland), together with six other universities in Vietnam to learn about the 4.0 education model and discuss with the Management Board to implement the EMVITET Project effectively. This was the business trip for leaders of member universities of EMVITET Project. EMVITET (Empowering Vietnamese VET Teachers for Transformation towards Education 4.0) is a project of the Erasmus+ Programme funded by the European Union.

During the mission, the EMVITET Project Management Board and HAMK introduced and trained six Vietnamese universities the education model, teaching methods, learning environment, innovative activities and approaches to promote Finnish business cooperation in digital era education development.

Director of EMVITET Project - Dr. Irma Kunnari organized discussions among participants to implement the project effectively. The project will contribute to improving lecturers' capacity of universities in Vietnam on innovating teaching methods and building 4.0 education ecosystem in the coming time.
In addition to the above activities, to further strengthen the cooperation between participants, leaders of LHU and HAMK discussed and signed cooperation agreements on lecturer and student exchange, enhancing lecturers' qualification, developing the training programs for vocational education lecturers,... This is a good opportunity for LHU to expand and strengthen the international cooperation activities.

According to Dr. Irma Kunnari - Director of EMVITET, the Project will train about 50 staff / lecturers for each university in Vietnam on innovating teaching methods and building the educational ecosystem. In particular, LHU will send 10 lecturers to attend the 3-week training course in Finland and Belgium. The training program is divided into 2 phases, 5 lecturers each. Lecturers who participate in the training course are responsible for organizing training sessions for other ones. In addition, the Government of Finland will sponsor equipment for the University during the project implementation.
When the educational ecosystem is formed, it promises to bring many beneficiary values to LHU, specifically its learners.
