On March 15, the Science and Technology Advisory Council directly assessed and assigned organizations and individuals the tasks to perform the provincial science and technology tasks in 2022 and held a meeting to consider and approve the project of "Research and build a smart composting model to recycle piggery waste into organic fertilizer on a farm scale in Dong Nai province". The project was led and perfomed by Dr. Cao Van Du - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, LHU and his colleagues. Dr. Lai The Thong, Director of Department of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Council presided the meeting.
Dr. Cao Van Du's project was honoured to be approved with a budget of VND 2.4 billion by the Advisory Council
The project is expected to have a duration of 24 months. It is aimed at selecting materials and microbial strains with appropriate doses to treat odors and decompose organic matter into standard organic fertilizers according to Circular 09/2019 and QCVN 01-189:2019/BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The overall goal of the project is to research, design and manufacture equipment for smart composting technology applied to a farm model with a temperature sensor system, a humidity sensor connected to a self-propelled sprinkler system and automatic mixing, design ventilation system to create negative pressure in the composting area.

At the meeting, Council members contributed some ideas and asked the project manager to edit some contents, technical parameters and processes... Also, the members of the Council voted on the project meeting requirements and agreed the implementation of the project in the near future.
