On the morning of September 1st, 2010, at the provincial Sporting Event Hall, the provincial Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People's Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai solemnly held the 65th anniversary of National Day and the 4th provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress. Lac Hong University was honored to have three collectives and four individuals recognized as typical models.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Mot – Chairperson of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee made a commemorative speech on the 65th anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, jointly reviewing our nation’s gloriously historical traditions in August Revolution 1945. After that, Mr. Le Mai Thanh - Deputy Director of Department of Interior Affairs, Permanent Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial Emulation and Reward Council approved reports on the patriotic emulation movements in the past five years (2005-2010) and mission directions next five years (2010-2015).
The ceremony honored 550 typical collectives, individuals having outstanding achievements and contributions to the patriotic movement of Dong Nai province in the past five years. At the ceremony, Lac Hong University was honored to receive an emulation flag of the Prime Minister for the leading unit in the emulation movement in the school year of 2008 - 2009; an emulation flag of Dong Nai People's Committee for excellent achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for 5 years. Previously, Lac Hong University had been given the flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its Union, the flag by the Ministry of Education and Training for the excellent emulation unit of the school year 2009 – 2010. In addition, Dr. Tran Hanh – Headmaster of Lac Hong University was honored to receive the Third-class Labour Medal; Lam Thanh Hien, MA - Head of Training Department, Vice Rector and Nguyen Vu Quynh, MA – Deputy of Electro Mechanics Department received Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister.
