Representing Vietnam to participate in Asia-Pacific Robot Invention Contest, LH LED excellently won the Second Prize and Panasonic Prize.
LH LED played a total of five matches for the Asia - Pacific final. In the qualifiers, LH LED excellently surpassed Japan and Malaysia.
In the quarterfinals, LH LED competed with the host team Egypt 2, a choking game because Thailand team had been knocked out by Egypt 1 before. By confidence and competing experience, LH LED excellently defeated the competitor with scores 22-12.
In the semifinal, LED LH won an overwhelming victory before Autobots Fighter of Hong Kong with scores 66-7, going straight to the final with China.
LH LED fiercely competed in the robot controlling part by hands and gained an advantage. At the Khafra tower (central tower), LH LED completed the first and second floors parallel with the Chinese team, but the rival was faster at the third and fourth floors. At the Mankauraa tower (the third tower), China team won overwhelming position.
As a result, UESTC of China won the championship, Vietnam winning the Second Prize and Hong Kong and Egypt 1 won the third ones.
In 2009, representing Vietnam, the SPK Knight from the University of Technical Education Ho Chi Minh City won the Third Prize at the Asia-wide contest in Tokyo.
