On April 27, at campus 3, LHU Oriental Studies Faculty's Youth Union organized "Oriental Food Cooking Contest" in order to celebrate the 38th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30) and the 127th May Day (May 1). The contest also aimed to meet students’ spiritual life, creating a healthy playground for a large number of students.
Attending the contest was Vice Dean Nguyen Huu Nghi, M.A, Secretary of Youth Union Le Son Quang, Deputy Secretary Tran Tien, lecturers, Organizing Board, participating teams and a big number of supporters.
The competition attracted the participation of 22 teams. Teams had 60 minutes including 15 minutes to prepare ingredients and the rest to cook and decorate their dishes. The contest was filled with excitement and attraction.
After 60 minutes of competition, 22 teams completed their examinations and were highly appreciated by the Jury.
The judges selected the best cooking teams and they gave out prizes as follows:
First prize: Class 09VN111
Second prize: Class 09DN113
Third prize: Class 12DH111
In addition, each participating team received expense and certificate of merit from organizers.
The competition has provided students chances to learn about a variety of traditional food of Vietnam, Korea, Janpan and China. Moreover, the attenders enjoyed exciting and memorable moments at the contest.
