LHU to receive Lao and Cambodian students

In the afternoon of October 17, Lac Hong University held a ceremony to receive 27 Lao and Cambodian students who attend Vietnamese language course at Oriental Studies Faculty - LHU.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director of Dong Nai provincial External Affairs Dept.; Mr. Phed Sa Mon Nu Nuon Na Voong – Deputy Director of Champasak provincial External Affairs Dept. – Laos; Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector of LHU; representatives of Academic Affairs Dept.; Oriental Studies Faculty; International Relations Dept., Dormitory Management Board; Student Affairs Dept. and Youth Union - Student Association.

Mr Tran Quoc Toan spoke highly of LHU's role in training Lao and Cambodian students for the past years.

On behalf of the University Management Board, Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan implemented the rite of receiving overseas students.

This year, overseas delegation includes 20 Lao and 7 Cambodian students. According to cooperation plan between the two provinces, Lac Hong University will offer Vietnamese language course to overseas students for one year. After that, these students will be distributed to local universities and colleges. Here they can follow their favorite majors.

The University Management wished overseas students best learning environment and campus life.

Earlier, LHU successfully trained Vietnamese language for more than 100 Lao and Cambodian students. In recent years, LHU has become a friendship bridge between Dong Nai  - Champasak provinces. It has proved provincial leaders’ trust and hope in undertaking the duty of training and developing human resources of the two countries - Laos and Cambodia. In addition to Vietnamese language classes, 2012 academic year ‘s overseas students have finished their BA and Eng. programs at LHU. This is an encouraging result, opening more admission programs for overseas students.
