The final match of Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2017 was held on August 27 at Ota City General Gymnasium Tokyo, Japan with the participation of 19 teams from 18 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region. The contest was organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.

LH-Niceshot team from Dong Nai based Lac Hong University, representing Vietnam excellently triumphed at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2017. After overcoming Fiji team from Sri Lanka at qualifying rounds, LHU defeated team from India by the victory 44 seconds to meet the host - Japanese team from Tokyo University of Technology at the quarterfinals.

At the semifinals, LHU defeated the home team with result of 34 seconds. The absolute victory of 34 seconds was also a record-breaking one at this competition.

At the final match, LHU excellently defeated team from Malaysia to triumph at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2017.This is the second time LHU has championed the ABU robot contest, 2014 and 2017.
