A solemn ceremony was held on January 4, 2014 at room A 301 – campus 1 - Lac Hong University to celebrate the 64th anniversary of Students’ Day and Vietnamese Student Assocaition (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2013 . The meeting aimed to review glorious traditions of Vietnamese Student Association and to praise excellent individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to students’ movements.
The ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial Student Association Le Dinh Hanh; LHU's Secretary of Party Committee Nguyen Trung Phuong; Rector People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai, Vice Rector Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Vice Rector Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, cadres, comrades, representatives from offices, departments, representatives from Dong Nai province’s universities and colleges, press units and more than 500 students.
Opening the ceremony, comrade Le Dinh Hanh on behalf of the provincial Student Association reviewed the tradition of 64th anniversary of Students' Day and Vietnamese Student Association. In addition, representing the University Management Board, Rector Dr. Do Huu Tai addressed at the event on the traditions of the University Student Association through development stages since its establishment and commended the organization for its achievements and contributions for the past time.

During the past time, the Student Association has been one of the units leading and implementing the campaign of "Excellent student at 5 aspects" (Sinh vien 5 tot) launched by Central Student Association. There have been many students conferred “Excellent student at 5 aspects” title at school, provincial and central levels. At the ceremony, the Student Association awarded the title at school level to 51 typical students.
In the term 2009 - 2013, with great contributions to the development of student movements, the University Student Association was also bestowed merits by Dong Nai provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Central Student Association at the ceremony.
The Executive Board of the University Student Association receives certificates of merit from Dong Nai People's Committee and Vietnam Central Student Association.
In 2012 - 2013, the University Student Association has realized many individuals and collectives who have greatly contributed to the Association’s tasks and student movements. In order to encourage excellent individuals and collectives at branches, the Association has commended and rewarded 17 collectives and 30 individuals for their outstanding achievements in mission and student movements.
Also in the past year, the Association has launched and organized programs for clubs, teams and groups with a variety of regular activities and useful playgrounds. On the occasion, 7 collectives and 10 individuals were praised at the event.
Ending the ceremony, the Student Association awarded certificates of merit to 10 excellent individuals for their outstanding contributions in "Giving strength to students 2013".
